The MOBILE MINOR™ laboratory spray dryer is ideal for drying small quantities of solutions, suspensions or emulsions into representative powder samples.
Ideal for drying small quantities
Since the first MOBILE MINOR™ laboratory spray dryer was introduced in 1948, GEA Niro has supplied more than 2,100 units. Today’s version meets the increasing demand for safe, sanitary, flexibility, and easy-of-use laboratory spray dyers. Test results from the MOBILE MINOR™ provide important information for establishing process data for commercial production.
Safe, flexible and easy to handle
MOBILE MINOR™ models are available for both aqueous and solvent based feedstock. Because different atomization techniques apply different energy forms to the liquid feed, the MOBILE MINOR™ offers three different atomization modes to ensure the solution that is best-suited to the task.
- Rotary atomizer, located in the center of the chamber roof. An air turbine drive requiring 6 bar compressed air supplies energy to the atomizer wheel.
- Co-current two-fluid nozzle, located in the center of the chamber roof. Atomization is created by compressed air at a pressure of 0.5-6.0 bar.
Fountain two-fluid nozzle, located in the cone of the drying chamber, spraying upwards. Atomization is created by compressed air at a pressure of 0.5-6.0 bar. For operation with feeds based on flammable solvents or powders subject to explosion risk, special designs are available.
The MOBILE MINOR™ Basic for limited requirements
The MOBILE MINOR™ Basic with limited options and a different design with side door is available for customers with limited requirements.
