Corporate social responsibility has never been higher on the world agenda. As public awareness grows, policy makers have been progressively compelled to both tighten legis lation and cooperate globally on environmental, health and safety standards. European Standardisation Organisations (CEN and CENELEC), in particular, are closely cooperating with ISO and IEC, aiming to create global harmonised safety standards.
