The fluidized spray dryer - MSD™/FSD™- from GEA Niro is one of the most successful designs of spray dryers ever developed. It is used to process a wide range of products, including coffee and milk with high quality agglomerates all processed in a one step operation. In this plant, it is also possible to add already made powder consisting of single particles through the fines return system and thus "upgrade" regular powder to agglomerated instant powders.
GEA Niro patented and introduced the MSD™/FSD™ in the early 1980s and has developed the design as the markets evolved. In addition to the MSD™/FSD™ from GEA Niro meeting current safety and environmental requirements, the plant is also easier to operate and has lower operational costs.
