GEA Niro’s professional technicians are there for you when you really need them, ready to keep plant operating as it was designed to. Experience has shown many times over that a great number of issues can be successfully resolved by a quick phone call. When this is not enough, GEA Niro’s experts can travel to where they are needed.
Arising issues are normally categorized into three areas:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Process.
Mechanical
Most issues arising from suspected mechanical sources can usually be resolved over a phone call but some issues need the expert eye and experience of GEA Niro’s specialists to resolve issues.
Electrical
Many safety issues can arise related to electrical installations. For example, the correct interlocks form critical steps in any plant’s operational safety. Staff at GEA Niro are specially trained to resolve such matters.
Process
Many factors can affect the final product and process operators may discover developing issues through observing deposits, scorching, escaping feed or even feel unplanned vibrations. Dedicated process engineers at GEA Niro can analyze these issues and formulate plans to over potential problems.
Specialist teams
The specialist teams are divided into two main service and repair functions, atomizer engineers and general service technicians. Each team provides a different set of skills and knowledge.
Service technicians
GEA Niro’s service technicians are based in the main Copenhagen Workshop and are, in many cases, the same people who made some of the component units. As part of the development team, the service technicians have extensive engineering experience and knowledge of the plant.
The technicians have undertaken additional training at GEA Niro in order to ensure that the customers get the best possible attention with their particular needs.
Atomizer engineers
These specialists designed the atomizers and have expert knowledge relating to the inter-relationships that make-up the entire process concept. In many cases, they are the specifiers of the whole process line.
The highly qualified engineers have the knowledge, training and experience to concept check a plant’s process line form beginning to end, and then to make recommendations to solve the issues and, in some cases, to improve the overall process efficiency.
