Protecting the environment is everybody’s responsibility. Laws and restrictions are put forward by the authorities to limit:
- Powder emission from your drying plant
- Noise from your process plant
- CO2 emission by energy saving
GEA Niro has developed components and processes that will upgrade your existing spray drying plant to fulfill all these requirements. Our solutions have been made with an attractive pay-back time.
Powder emission from a spray drying plant is reduced by our product recovery system from the exhaust duct by installing for instant bag filters after the cyclones (or even replacing them) as done in our SANICIP™ solution. Wet scrubbers may be used after the cyclones if you prefer the recovered product to be in liquid form.
Noise submitted to the surroundings from your process plant can be reduced significantly if you install sound attenuators on the process air inlet fan and on the exhaust system. Here, they can even be CIP-able as in our SOUNDCIP™. Noise inside the process plant can be reduced by placing all fans in an enclosed insulated room. The VIBRO-FLUIDIZER™ can be equipped with a low-noise vibrator arrangement. In GEA Niro's effort to reduce noise from our equipment, we focus on reducing pressure loss through the components but still improving the performance of our plants. This is done by installing our new process air disperser and replacing cyclones with our SANICIP™ bag filter.
CO2 emission is quite another matter and with increased energy prices, energy saving is on everybody’s mind. With GEA Niro's heat recovery system, you will soon find your investment as a plus on your bottom line.
