GEA Niro has extended its existing semi-automated warehouse system to include all most frequently distributed goods. The system was designed to ensure a more efficient delivery service for its customers.

The system at the Copenhagen warehouse has been fitted with the latest state-of-the-art racking and picking equipment for quicker accurate stock management. Previously, when an order had been placed a member of staff would locate the parts in the warehouse. The new automated system installed for all high-running goods will now locate the parts ordered and deliver the stock to be wrapped, packed and labelled for sending. For customers this means they can expect deliveries of Niro spare parts even quicker than before.

The new racking system offers a better use of space, more efficient processing and more hygienic containment for parts belonging to machinery used in the production of sensitive products such as pharmaceuticals.

The warehouse in Copenhagen is just one part of the worldwide programme from GEA Niro to speed up the delivery of spares and provide improved access to service personnel worldwide.
