GEA Process Engineering is well on the way to completing Darfield D1, the first part of the Darfield milk processing site for New Zealand dairy major Fonterra. Darfield D1 is set to be in operation this month with a capacity of processing two million litres of milk per day into milk powder. Darfield is also the site for the world’s largest dairy spray dryer - also supplied by GEA Process Engineering. This project, Darfield D2, is to be put into operation in August 2013.
