The new integrated filter dryer - IFD™ - from GEA Niro has further refined the highly successful MSD™/FSD™ by incorporating the CIP-able bag filter SANICIP™ inside the drying chamber. By applying a fines return system it is possible to add regular, non-agglomerated powder and get it "upgrated" to agglomerated instant powders.

GEA Niro's new IFD™ improves particle formation and powder quality. The IFD™ gives a total, in-place powder recovery and cleaning ability. The whole plant is greatly simplified, as it elminates the need for external cyclones, bag filters and fines recycling.
