The ASEPTICSD™ size ASDMICRO pharmaceutical spray dryer from GEA Niro will be on
show on the GEA Group stand - Hall 4.0 Stand No. D13 – G22 – at ACHEMA
2006. It is the smallest of the GEA Niro pharmaceutical spray dryers designed
specifically for the aseptic processing of very small volumes of active
ingredients including stabilised vaccines for injections. It has a drying gas
capacity of 30 kg/h.
The exhibited ASDMICRO is installed in a glove box for additional operator
and product protection when processing active or toxic ingredients.
The ASDMICRO can be operated with organic solvents (acetone, methylene
chloride, ethanol, and other organic solvents) as nitrogen is used as a drying
gas.
The ASDMICRO belongs to the family of Pharmaceutical Spray Dryers from GEA Niro
ranging from the PSD-1 to the PSD-7 with drying gas capacities from 80 - 4,000
kg/h.
